Trading and warranty terms and conditions

  1. Pricing

All prices displayed are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of 10% Good and Services Tax (GST). We try to make sure that the prices and specifications appearing on the website are current; however, if mistakes occur we reserve the right to correct them after verification: all information is subject to change without notice. In all cases, we will confirm your order and pricing before shipping.

  1. Lead time

Please check the “Lead Time” information appearing on the page of the items you have ordered. “Lead Time” indicates how long until we dispatch the items to you. We will not be liable for any claim arising from failure to deliver or for delay in delivery occasioned by unavailability of materials,  accidents, shipping delays, transport delays, or any cause or event beyond the reasonable control of the company.

  1. Order cancellations

All order cancellations must be advised in writing. Orders cannot be cancelled once shipping has commenced.

  1. Shipping

Full details of shipping procedures, including regional delivery times, are outlined separately in Shipping and Returns.

ErgoFurniture utilises a national network of freight carriers to deliver the goods: we ship all over Australia.

Prices are based on delivery to ground floor only. Delivery to multi-storey locations may incur additional cost. The placement of goods and full assembly of some proudcts is not included, and is available upon request at additional cost.

Transit insurance is available at an additional cost on any purchase.

In line with standard freight industry procedures, the shipping fee is calculated on the consignment total (“dead”) weight or the “cubic weight”, whichever is the greater, to the given destination.

We endeavour to dispatch the products you purchase as quickly as possible. However as we are dependent on suppliers, it may require more time on certain occasions. If a delay does occur, we will advise you by email or phone. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the customer arising from delay in delivering goods after the due quoted delivery date.

The customer provides Ergofurniture with “Authority to Leave” the goods at the requested delivery address, if the customer is not present when the goods are delivered. 

  1. Payment

On-line payment s by Visa, MasterCard or PayPal are accepted. Our online payment system is highly secure as all transactions and your credit card details are encrypted. We also accept EFT/Bank Deposits and cheques, though goods will not be dispatched until payments are cleared.

  1. Product availability

We may occasionally be out of stock of the product you ordered. In this case, we will contact you without delay and discuss the options.

  1. Returns

If you are not satisfied with an item that you have purchased, you may return the item within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price, less freight charges.

The item must be returned in “like new” condition, with all paperwork, packaging, parts and accessories to ensure full credit. Custom made or configured products are NOT RETURNABLE. Please note that the policies and process outlined in returns, also applies to defective items and those that may have been damaged during shipping.

  1. Warranty

Unless otherwise specified, a manufacturer’s warranty ranging from one year to 10 years will apply on all products, as listed in the product description. Should the goods prove to be defective within this period, ErgoFurniture will, at its discretion and provided that the damage is not due to use or misuse of the goods or from fair wear and tear, replace or repair defective goods free of charge. The goods must be returned to us at the address above and proof of purchase must also be provided. For multi-shift operations, a maximum two year warranty period will apply. Delivery fees for a warranty claim will be paid by the customer.

  1. Finishes

On receipt of your order, ErgoFurniture may require final details of finishes required. A delay in providing information to us may affect final lead time. Variation in fabric dye lots, timber grain, shade and/or colour of goods supplied, shall not be regarded as a fault and no claims will be entertained in respect of it.

  1. Images & Illustrations

The images used in this web site are for illustrative purposes only and may not always be identical to the actual product. Fabric appearance and/or colours may render differently on screen. We reserve the right to make product enhancements or improvements at any time in order to offer superior products, and/or to reflect manufacturing refinements.

  1. Governing Law

These terms and conditions of sale in all respects shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia.
